Thanks to you and you and...

We had a very busy weekend and before I post another sentence I have to say "THANK YOU" to all the people who had a hand in making this move the success it was! Ronnie and Jeanette, Geoff and Lisa, Linda, Jennifer and my dad. Tomorrow we close on the house and close this chapter of our lives. We are so excited to see what God has next.

My kingdom for a BOX!!

As you all know, we are moving next week. My life is boxes. They are everywhere and I can't get enough of them. Thank goodness we get our storage space today and I can begin to put an end to the insanity. Here's what things are looking like.

Here's a special delivery

Keep sending those prayers our way for a smooth closing next week. Thanks.

Weekend in pictures

We had a really great end to an incredibly busy week. I will be brief. Here's the readers digest version. Cody Joiner from The Kross called Brian and asked him to cater a concert featuring Hawk Nelson, Kutless and headlined by Audio A and Toby Mac . The pictures speak for themselves well, kind of.
Here are Jackson and Jayden with the lead singer from Hawk Nelson, Jason. He hung out with the boys all day playing hockey and then after their set let them stay while he signed autographs.

Jayden signing his first autograph. Maybe the start of things to come?

Jason, Jared, Justin and Zach

Linda dared me to do this.

Me and Toby Mac. Oh yeah! Highlight of my night!

Brian showing his stuff.

What a great week!

Prayer is what got us through.

And, now we can smile because it's all over. Thank you for all your prayers and support.

So, how was your week?

In memory and celebration of...

As one who has experienced a huge loss there are never again to be painless holidays. Every one is bitter sweet. The most painful of course for me is Mother's Day. I ache not able to tell my mother how much I love and appreciate her. How I am forever changed because of things she has taught me. How my children benefit from her wisdom and advice. How she showed me that "A Better World Begins with ME!!" And although this isn't the only time we should share things like this with our mothers, it sometimes is. So, I encourage you, don't let another day, week or month go by without telling your mom how much you love her. Don't assume she knows either. Make it plain. You don't need a specific day to do it, just pick up the phone and say the words. Remember for those of you who have kids and for those who are just starting out, you reap what you sow.

On a lighter note, I celebrated my Grandmother this Mother's Day. She is an incrdedible woman who has been through so much yet has never given up on life and always kept the faith. She has shown me I can do all things through Christ and is an inspiration to me. She is beautiful, kind and and generous beyond belief. I love you Grammy.

Favor

This past week has not been without it's challenges and stresses but it's also not been without God's peace and reasurrance. After we signed the contract the first time we came to realize the document needed to have a disclosure stating the buyer was aware the seller was related to the real estate broker and he would receive a carpet allowance. Ok, so signed, sealed and delivered for the second time. Then as I was speaking with the buyers agent, who by the way is one of the nicest people you could ever meet, she realized the house had just been piered. So, of course she had to make the buyer also aware and when she did he said he needed time to re-think things. Thursday he came again to look at the house and his agent said they would have an answer Friday. Well, Friday came and went and nothing. So, my grandmother told me to remove the SOLD sign and show it if someone called. No one did, we had a great garage sale Saturday, a quiet mother's day and got up Monday morning just like normal to begin our week. This whole time even though we knew nothing we had an incredible amount of peace. We knew God's plan was THE plan and it would play out how he had ordained. Monday at about 10:30am Brian called and said IT'S SOLD!!! The buyer wanted it. I just praised the Lord. And you know the cool thing? I would have praised HIM anyway. His agent came by yesterday and we signed it AGAIN! Signed, sealed and delivered for almost the last time. Our inspections are tomorrow and once again GOD'S favor will be upon this house, it's current and future owners. We would appreciate you standing and agreeing with us. Thanks!

SOLD!!

The contract is signed, sealed and delivered. We close May 26th. I have mixed feelings. This is my first home. I have poured alot of love into changing it and making it "ours." It wil be very bitter sweet to hand over the keys to another family. I hope they will appreciate and take care of it like we have. I am also excited. It's a new beginning. A chance to take something else and make it "ours." I look forward to showing you pictures of our next home.
