It happened again...

I am another year older. It's kind of a weird age too. 33, isn't that an ugly number. I can't really decide why. It's just not a nice, pretty or attainable number. Does that make sense? Anyway, today was the day and it's been really great. My husband, kids and our friends Blake and Shelly took me out to eat at my fav restuarant, PF Changs last night and I got lots of really nice treats. I am really spoiled. After which I also got to go shopping which they all handled well and there was no whining. Then today at church everyone sang Happy Birthday to me before rehearsal and several people showed up with gifts. Then tonight Brian's brother's came over and we all feasted on cake and icecream. And to make me feel really extra special Shelly made me a friut pizza cake which was out of this world good. I am not kidding. Tomorrow I will have pics of it. She is such a sweetheart. I felt truly blessed. Here are some fun pics below, I am also including one of Jared with the newest addition to his mouth...lots of metal. Enjoy...

Lovin' Life

Just wanted to share some pics with you from Easter Sunday. Of course I'm biased but I am pretty sure my boys get cuter and cuter. As you can see Jackson has on glasses. He was just diagonosed as near sighted and he loves them. He also looks totally adorable. The couple with us are Shelly and Blake and they just moved here from Oklahoma about a month ago. Shelly and I met over the counter at Starbucks and I invited her to church. Back in Ok they attended Life Church.TV and they seem to like really like Church at the Bay. That is Brian's younger brother, Ryan in the first pic. Hope you enjoy...

The Latest...

And we know that in all things God works everything for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
Thanks to all of you who prayed for us during this rough time. God really does work in mysterious ways and I think I am just going to embrace that idea everyday. The insurance company totalled the car which is really a blessing in disguise b/c now we will only have one car payment. Of course we will only have one car but that will also be resolved quickly b/c we will buy one outright and I know God already has the car picked out and waiting for us when the time is right. I am thankful I persevered and did not lose my hope. (OK maybe I lost it for 5 minutes but that doesn't count right??) Seriously though we could not walk any of this out without the knowledge there are so many people out there praying and believing with us, for us and in us. Thank you all so much for all your encouraging words.

Enjoy the pics of the car that was...

When it rains, it pours...and God will send a boat

Life has been really stressful lately. Brian's job hasn't really turned out as we had originally anticipated. Corporate focuses so much on the negative and never on the positive and there is really only so much of that a person can take. Not to mention both times Brian has asked for time off he has been denied and the decision is based on nothing b/c he has already proved he can run the restaurant better than anyone before him. The profit margin is way up from last year and it's due to Brian's initiative and his own marketing of the rest. not anything coporate is doing to bring in the sales. Does anyone sit up and take notice...? NO, they only focus on what is wrong. Very discouraging. Thankfully, Brian knows who he is in Christ but as humans we can still only take so much. We have been trying to spend as much time together as possible but with his hours its a challenge. The hours have been getting worse and he is so burnt out. He has been looking for something, anything to make a change but looking for a job is almost a full time job in itself. Life has been slightly overwhelming lately and then today, this afternoon he had a car accident involving 3 cars. It was his fault which makes it even worse for him. He was changing lanes and didn't realize that lane had also come to a stop and at 40 miles an hour slammed into someone and then bounced off and bumped the car in the right lane. I am sure it didn't help that he put a 16 hour day yesterday only to be back there this morning at 8am. He is exhausted. The third car had very little damage but Brian's car and the one he hit are trashed. The left side of his car was crunched all the way up to the windsheild. When I saw it I was really freaked out. So, was he. I am so thankful he is ok. He is definately sore and has seatbelt marks on his hips and shoulder but I think with some rest he will recover fine. The other lady involved wasn't injured and refused the ambulance but said she was going to the Dr. Please pray for this whole situation. Pray for favor b/c it just "feels" like it's constantly raining and I am just waiting for God's boat. It will be along shortly, that is the hope I have.
